WPPS Grade 1 2012

Creating lifelong learners

Screen It 2012

We had 2 groups from Grade 1 put together an animation in response to the national competition for school-aged filmmakers, Screen It 2012.  Run annually by the Australian Centre for the Moving Image the students responded to this year’s theme, ‘Belonging’. It proved to be a valuable trigger for students and teachers to explore what belonging means to us while learning animation techniques along the way.

We hope you enjoy our films.

  1. Well done Grade 1s, they are great!

I hope you enjoyed making them and working together in your teams.

  2. I enjoed making it. We used lots of paper and playdough and and Risinu helped Sadul helped making the film.-

  3. Thank you for posting those videos. We enjoyed watching them.
A Boy, boat, giant, and lion
It was really neat how you had the shark jump out of the water and eat the giant.
We liked when the bunny went behind the tree and got his basket of carrots.
We thought it was funny when the dragon was chasing the bunny and the bunny was running away.
